Yes! If your GP determines you have a chronic condition (lasting or likely to last 6 months or more), you may be eligible for a rebate through a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) with a referral to your physiotherapist.
Your GP prepares a GPCCMP (in person or via video).
Your GP provides a referral letter to your physiotherapist.
The plan can be prepared once per year and reviewed every 3 months if needed.
Up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year, shared across physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetics, etc. Referrals issued after 1 July 2025 are valid for 18 months, but the 5-session limit resets annually. Existing GPMP/TCA referrals remain valid until 30 June 2027.
Current rebate (from July 2025, MBS item 10960) is $61.80 per session.
You pay the full consultation fee upfront; the rebate is refunded directly to your debit account at the clinic.
Rebates are processed on the spot at Verticore Rehab. Alternatively, you can claim manually via: myGov Medicare account, Medicare Express Plus app, In person at a Medicare office.
